Dear Parents,
As the president of the Student Council, I am happy to inform you about our proposed new dress code. As a group, the A levels have voted towards a more formal dress code and the school management has agreed to accept it as our new school uniform, depending upon parental acceptance.
The boys now have the option of wearing a suit as long as they are smartly dressed. This means:
- Button-up shirt (short OR long sleeve)
- Dress pants
- Jacket (Optional)
- Tie (Optional)
- Formal Shoes
As for the girls they also have the option of coming in a suit which means:
- Button-up shirt (short OR long sleeve)
- Dress pants OR skirt below the knees
- Jacket (Optional)
- Scarf (Optional)
- Tie (Optional)
- Formal Shoes
The new dress code is based on all feedback from the A level students. The colours have been discussed and it has been decided that since the new uniform will be OPTIONAL for now, the students will have the option to choose their own colours as long as they are sensible. No bright colours, please!
Next year the dress code might become compulsory. We look forward to your cooperation. If you wish to give us some feedback regarding this change, please do contact the Student Council.
Yours sincerely,
The New Look
