Languages Other Than English
Students from Preparatory through to Year 10 can choose from 3 different programmes:
- French
- Arabic as a First Language
- Arabic as a Second Language
Teachers provide a wide variety of activities that stress communication skills, such as listening, speaking, reading, comprehension, writing, grammar and culture.
Communication is enhanced within the classroom by providing opportunities for students to interact with one another individually, as well as through small and large group assignments.
Arabic as a second Language
This course focuses on introducing students to the Arabic language, developing and increasing their capacity to communicate using the language.
Arabic as a First Language
This course focuses on developing and increasing the capacity of the students to read and write independently. It is designed to enable students, who have Arabic as their first language, to continue their studies when they return to their home country.
This structure ensures the provision of a balanced Arabic or French curriculum that is suitable for all nationalities.
