All parents are encouraged to help their children with their school’s reading program. In the junior school it is important to hear your child read and to foster a love of books through sharing a wide variety of texts with your child.
Homework helps to develop children’s skills and abilities through practice. Parents are asked to encourage and support their children.
The school suggests the following guidelines:
Kindergarten One: No homework
Kindergarten Two: No homework
Preparatory: 15 minutes
Year One – Year Two: 20 minutes
Year Three – Year Four: 30 – 40 minutes
Year Five – Year Six: 40 – 60 minutes
Year Seven – Year Ten: 60 – 90 minutes
IGCSE: 120 minutes plus
